The Foundation expects successful scholars to complete a two-month unpaid internship.

CAMPBELL FOUNDATION FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM

The Campbell Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of the Chesapeake Fellowship Program. The Fellowship is a two-year compensated chance to obtain professional hands-on experience in environmental grant-making. Each of our Chesapeake Initiative initiatives (Civic Engagement and Agriculture) will receive one Fellowship.

Information about the Campbell Foundation Fellowship Program

The Keith Campbell Foundation for the Environment, which has been supporting the Chesapeake Bay watershed for 20 years, was formed to restore the biological conditions of America’s biggest estuary system: the Chesapeake and Atlantic Coastal Bays. The Campbell Foundation continues to find, widen, and enhance leadership and community-based groups to improve local and regional water quality, with a current annual grant giving of $5 million (about 120 awards) from our Chesapeake Office. The basic goals of the Chesapeake Fellowship Program are as follows:

HFG FOUNDATION YOUNG AFRICAN SCHOLARS PROGRAM 2022-2023

The HFG Foundation welcomes ideas from Young African Scholars in any of the social and natural sciences or associated fields that promise to advance understanding of the origins, manifestations, and control of violence and aggressiveness.

2022-2023 HFG Foundation Young African Scholars Program

The Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation was created by Harry Guggenheim to encourage studies on violence, aggressiveness, and domination.

The foundation places a high value on research in neuroscience, genetics, animal behavior, social sciences, history, criminology, and the humanities that elucidate contemporary human challenges.

Grants are given to study “violence related to youth, family relationships, media effects, crime, biological factors, intergroup conflict related to religion, ethnicity, and nationalism, and political violence deployed in war and sub-state terrorism, as well as processes of peace and the control of aggression.”

The Advantages of the Young African Scholars Program

A methodology workshop, fieldwork research funding of USD 2,000 each, editorial and publishing support, and sponsorship at an international conference to discuss research findings are all part of the program.

Procedures for Application

The application conditions are as follows:

Applicants must be 35 or younger, educated on the African continent, and actively residing there.
Applications must be submitted by December 15th. To be considered, all application documents must be received by the end of that day (midnight, EST).
Applications should be no more than six pages long and include the following information:
